Door cards, dashboard, (the dreaded gap under the windscreen) etc etc

So I pulled onto a grass verge as she was in a state. Without thinking and wanting to sort her out I just just bumped into the kerb asap and sank.

So am now thinking of a strap that I can keep in the van for the camping season ahead just incase ? I know it’s a bit overkill but I’d rather be prepared.

Anyone else beached themselves ? I’m sure I’m not the first or will be the last.

Glad the towing eye lived with the jack and not with the spare wheel !

Nightmare, gotta love kids for doing such great things. Hope she feels better.
Don’t reckon the brown wall tyres will catch on though!
Haven’t beached the van yet; got awfully close to it at BusFest last year thanks to the blooming terrible route we had to take to get to the forum pitch.

I did have a little scrabble about for a miracle of grip but just dug a hole and just polished the mud.

Told the Mrs that the recovery guy said I’d have been okay with some decent Wheels on but she didn’t fall for it.

Yeah, totally agree. A set of 20’s would have pulled you straight out no messing.

Snow chains! Work in all weather! Shocked she got stuck mine hasn’t got stuck and I am on17s and drive on some pretty boggy fields and in snow. Did you know you were in a boggy ditch? If you didn’t and went to pull away as normal this wouldn’t have helped. If you pull away slowly it can help. Hope your daughter is ok and you got rid of the puke!

I I thought it was a bit soft when I’d stopped but had to do sort the little one out. Did try to set off slowly but it didn’t do much. Had a bit of a rock back and forth on the clutch but because my other wheel was on the cycle path the mucky one just span up. I think that stopping and totally loosing momentum was the main issue coupled with one wheel on tarmac.

Little ones got tonsillitis @Buggirl thanks for asking. We were going to go away this weekend too, will see how she gets on.
