Water pump

Hi all. Took the Kepler 6 out yesterday. I turned the water pump on and water is gushing out I think from above the water tank. I dont have the ability to get underneath properly to have a look. When the pump is off there is a slow drip. We did have a few days of freezing weather a few weeks ago. I'm thinking best case scenario, a bust pipe?

Probably, only one way to find out and that’s to remove it.
While you have it out try and insulate where possible.
With the tank either fill it completely in short term sub-zero conditions as the larger mass take longer to reduce temperature or completely drain.
I fitted a 12v DC, 20W immersion heater in mine with a thermometer and simple programmer. Not often I need it but when I do it save having to dump the underslung tank water and carry water inside the van.

Yeah, when I saw it it coming from above the tank, i thought it's not going to be an easy fix. I can get hold of some wheel ramps but not till the new year. Just have to muddle on till then.

Thanks for the response

I can get hold of some wheel ramps
There are some serious rubbish steel ramps on the market, I sent some back and they were the best I could find.
In the end I fixed some HD camping ramps to sections of timber sleeper, far more stable.

Make sure you don’t have a check valve between the pump and the tap otherwise you can’t drain the feed hose and that will freeze.
