Hi folks, we are looking to purchase a kiravan railsail. Looks like a good piece of kit however at £395 it isn’t cheap. If any fellow members are considering selling theirs on, please let me know. Thanks!!

Might get a better response if you put this in the actual sales/wants area.
@Bav can move it for you or one of the Mods team

Kiravans UK RHD Rail Sail Sail-cloth Type Rain and Sun Shade Awning : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive

is this the same thing also look down the page of the link some others also.
Thanks for the link. Yes this is the same item, not a great review score however if I am right then product has been improved over time to address the commonly reported issues of leaks around the seams. Happy to listen to feedback from any owners to see if the product has been improved or not.
From researching poled awning setups on this forum I came to the conclusion that the railsail offers more in terms of versatility / setup options. Many forum members recommend the Debus however from what I can gather the canopy is smaller and you are more restricted in how you set it up. Admittedly the Debus is 1/4 of the price and being a tight Northerner this does score heavily.

I do not know anything about specific canapes or awnings only that their are plenty of none vehicle targeted awnings available from camping and out door suppliers. Might not be exactly what you are looking for because you may want one that specifically attaches to your vehicle. However their are many available covering a range of functions and sizes and one could choose a suitable version and attach it in a number of ways. Magnets suckers the type that one picks up glass or mettle sheeting some single and triple suckers have loads of power and suction. Could buy a cheep awning and attach it thus while researching further no great expense lost in the mean time if you are rushed that is. Just a thought. :)

I’ve got a Railsail and a Debus. Yes, the former is more versatile but the Debus is much simpler to put up and pack away so we mix and match as the mood takes us. Both are waterproof but I reckon the Railsail soaks up more more heat from the sun. If I could only have one of them, it would probably be the Debus.

We have a 10 year old quecha tarp with a kador strip stitched to it .
Seen many hours of action and still good (if slightly faded now) .
I have looked for a new replacement but still haven't found anything as good .

I was going make my own, but opted for a Debus in the end, for the cost, it’s no faff and is easy set up and put down.
Take a dometic shelter for storage/cooking under.

Does the Debus cover the front and rear of the slider when fully open ?
240cm sounds a tad short even for a swb
