Hi Chris,
I'm new to the forum today too!
I drive a T6 Konbi, 5 seats not 6, so 2 captain seats in the front, so heated for those cold morning!
I'll post at some point today as I need to repair my wing mirror as somewhat clipped it yesterday as it was parked up and broke the inner gear bracket thingie! Grrrrr
Sure I'll mange to sort it!
Love my T6
Swanie

Welcome mate, just be careful buying from Salop, theres nothing wrong with them as a company but there’s an inflated premium for all the bling bits, look past the roof rails, side bars, sportline spoilers, big wheels, just make sure your buying a decent van, all that stuff can be added at a later date, trust me you’ll end up changing most of it anyway. I’ve learnt by my mistake, I bought from Salop and was more interested in the wheels etc instead of looking at the van spec and bodywork condition. There’s much better spec vans out there for similar prices.

With being up in Glasgow there is nothing no vans for sale . Test drove one yesterday . Demonstrator and wasn’t for sale for like 3 months lol

@Thatvandad

Am in Ayr so just down the road . A done the same hunted everywhere for a t6 kombi for months with spec a wanted and could never get one as sold straight away or was too expensive . Decided against it and ordered up a new t6.1 with better spec for about the same money or a little more as your paying for a decent t6 , only problem is the waiting list for them am not expecting till April next year but that seriously open to change . Autoebid are doing some amazing deals with great discounts

Hi @F2JON I picked up our new T6.1 from Salop Vans on Wednesday and I’m very pleased with the conversion l also asked how much to lower the suspension and Ade the owner said if I bought the van he would lower it free of charge and fit a full set of mats.
Anyway I did the deal and me and the misses are over the moon.
On Saturday I called at the local VW van centre to get a price to fit a reversing camera they asked who had converted the van as it was one of the best they had seen.
This is the first VW vehicle I have owned so it’s a learning curve for me.
John.

Hi and welcome! Congratulations on your van! The important thing is to enjoy it rather than let “big purchase guilt” kick in!!!

I agree with the sentiment and the advice: don’t let the shiny things on a van distract a purchaser from assessing the value, specification or condition of the van itself.

But that advice holds true for anyone visiting any dealer. As you say, there’s nothing wrong with this dealer as a company.

But we are men. And that’s what we do. Oh and then we regret it later. Not much later mind. It’s how we roll it’s what we do. As the saying goes. Buy now pay later Lol.

What gets me every time I drive past SV, is how they are still getting away with using that logo.

Ha ha ha! That’s the story of my love life!!!

You made me look and I can’t unsee it now!

Brilliant I’m glad your pleased with it, I couldn’t fault Ade for his service. Nice looking van enjoy.

@Brindle I had no problems I called at their place Salop Vans on our way home from Wales on speck, we looked at quite a few vans and Pat my wife fell in love with the new pure grey they had we put a deposit and picked it up exactly a week later. We could have had it sooner but I had to sell my car first because of parking space on our drive but again I got lucky we buy any car gave me a good offer for our car but I contacted Hyundai who we bought it off and they offered £500 more.
I just wished I new more about VW Transporters at the time and gone for the same coloured van but Highline spec but saying that We’re very happy with the one we bought.
John.
Ps love your signature.

Glad you got sorted, the vans all look great to be fair. I ended up a much better spec and lower mileage van in the end than the one I was trying to buy so ultimately it was a blessing in disguise!!!
