So the time has come to reluctantly sell my 2018 Transporter. It’s a factory Highline Kombi, manual, in Indium Grey. Genuine reason for sale, my situation has changed slightly and I now need something I can use everyday for work - it doesn’t feel right to use this everyday and put loads of commuting miles on it, but given the time and money that’s gone into it, I can’t bring myself to part exchange it when I feel it should go to another enthusiast, to enjoy it like we have over the last 2 years.
I bought it 2 years and 6000 (approx) miles ago, in which time it’s really just been a weekend toy. We’ve done a couple of camping weekends with it, as well as a trip to France, and it’s always been completely faultless.
The engine is the CXHA unit, and mileage is just coming up to 131,000 and it runs and drives as good as new - it’s never skipped a beat, It hardly uses a drop of oil or water and it’s always wanted for nothing. In the last year it’s had the following work.
Also has 2 keys present (one of which looks like new).
So many extras and upgrades, more than I can think of
but I’ll try to list them all…
Condition wise, it’s good for the age, a few age related marks here or there on the outside and a few stonechips to the front but nothing untoward. Inside it’s very clean, as seen in the pics.
I think that’s everything, I’ve been questioning myself whether it’s the right thing to do but I’d love it to go to someone else who will enjoy it like we have! It’s an honest lovely van.
I’m pricing it at £22,500 (no VAT) which I think is a fair price, but happy to be corrected or consider the right offers.
Just had my private plate taken off and returned to its original in case nothing comes up on a reg search!

- Both EGR pipes & gaskets @ 128,764 miles
- 4 new glow plugs @ 128,637 miles
- SoLow NSL suspension & mounts, H&R anti roll bars (front and back) fitted @ 126,698 miles by Bognor Motors
- Nutexa discs and pads all round also fitted @ 126,698 miles
- Also had a new heated windscreen fitted @ 129,532 miles.

- Inovit Speed 20” staggered wheels in satin black with custom VW black & grey centre caps, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 245/45/20 fronts and 275/40/20 rears - done less than 1000 miles!
- SoLow NSL suspension all round - rides beautifully and sits at a sensible height.
- Also had H&R anti roll bars fitted at the same time, as well as drop links, and front and rear suspension mounts.
- Full LED lights front & rear with sequential indicators (Gbrite full led fronts and Travelinlite rears with reverse & fogs on both sides)
- Black trapezoid side bars and all gloss black grilles
- Sportline front splitter & gloss black lower lip
- Leather seats with Golf GTI backs trimmed with white Audi style hexagon stitch - mega seats, with matching rear 2+1 bench
- Chunky flat bottom steering wheel - condition is virtually new
- Illuminated gear knob (from innovativcartech.de - cost £100 and looks awesome)
- LED footwell lights front & rear
- Climair Wind deflectors
- Pioneer EVO950DAB touch screen head unit with CarPlay, and Focal door speakers
- Front headlining trimmed in black suede as well as A&B pillars, rear trimmed in black & grey carpet
- Lower dash refitted with black to replace the beige - I do also have a new drivers door card in black I can include if required (I never got round to finding the other side but they are out there
) - Rear wiper deleted.
- Start/stop delete cable fitted, but can be removed if required.
- Big speedo activated on centre dash display
