VW supplies Westfalia tow hitch issue

Anyone else had an issue where the rotating handle will not rotate to go back against tow hitch?
The metal section showing by the red & green stickers should close up when I rotate it, which it normally does but for some reason got stuck in this position, after I removed the tow hitch from the van

One of the ball bearings is stuck out just needs a little tap with the shaft of a hammer to knock it back slightly. Once they're all in sat properly the tension on the hadle will be released and it'll spin back into place .
Keep your fingers away from the handle when you do it .
Either that or wind the tension on a tad with the handle and push all the bearings in at the same time .

mine is the same, as you say just a small tap with hammer
