VW Passat B8 infotainment connection

Hi all, I have a 2020 biturbo Passat that has connection issues. The eSim will not connect meaning the vw connect will not talk to the car. I’ve had no issues with the van. Has anyone a fix?
 
I’ve just raised a ticket with WeConnect (via weconnect-support@volkswagen.de) for a similar issue on my T6.1.

No outcome as yet - I’ll update if they give me a resolution. Some forum searching suggests it’s not uncommon - the vehicle seems to loose connectivity to the VW servers.
 
There’s a suggestion online to remove and replace the fuse for the infotainment system. I’ve not attempted yet as haven’t had time
 
VW say it needs a workshop visit to resolve. They won't tell me any more at this stage regarding what the workshop will need to do.

Still in warranty so will look to get it booked in, but it can wait for now.
 
That’s also the response vw have sent me. I’m not too far off an oil change so will get done then.
