VW Newbridge, Edinburgh any feedback

Anyone had dealings with this particular garage. Have the All in one Plan hoping to get Water Pump done under warranty.

Update - Garage phoned yesterday, not sure if it will be covered by warranty at this point. They needed authorisation to go ahead with diagnostics £144 which will be a pending cost at the moment. Was advised that it will be at least 3 days before it can be looked at.

I used them for my VW Touareg (the van centre is next door to the car garage). A software update took them 2 weeks. Then they forgot to phone me to say it was fixed which it wasn't. Googled the issue when I got home, changed a few settings and hey, all works perfectly. I too was "charged" a diagnostic fee but as the issue was covered under warranty, I didn't have to pay anything. They did however send me an invoice for some reason.

To be honest every time I've dealt with them it's been a nightmare - from picking up a brand new Golf that had a chip in the bonnet which they just touched up to saying I was lying that the rear wiper didn't fit my Tiguan and when they came out to look they had to eat humble pie!

Western for me is a very last resort!

You could try Fife Auto Tech in Glenrothes but not sure if they do warranty work. They sorted my T6.1 suspension for me and are very good.

Thanks for the reply doesn't install me with confidence. It really puts you off getting the All in one plans when you can't rely on the garage.

Indeed. I took out an all in one then cancelled with VW (they gave me a full refund as I hadn't had any services etc). Fife Auto Tech do VW servicing and can update the online service records etc so I'll be using them in the future.

Might just do the same, always just used a local garage throughout the years. Thought after spending this amount of money on a van I would take the All in one plan for peace of mind. Just want it fixed and want it back.
