Volkswagen T6.1 suspension and accelerator pedal rust issues - has anyone experienced anything similar?

Can you post some more pics of the van.

And where the rust is on the pedals?

I bought the Tiguan in 2017 and sold it in 2023, and it has never rusted.
A typical van has a little over half the average useful life of a car - in terms of age - so manufacturers don't waste as much money on rustproofing on the basis thst most will be driven into the ground before rot becomes problematic. For that reason you can't really use a Tiguan as a yardstick.

The photos don't show anything concerning, none of it remotely close to being a problem. More photos perhaps if you're still concerned?

My car was newly purchased in October 2023, with a total mileage of 24,146 kilometers. I drive it every day to pick up my children from school and to get off work, on both city roads and highways.

Those items are big old castings. They won't rust through in a hundred years, hence why VW don't paint them with anything substantial. Even the trailing arms are unlikely to be holed inside a quarter of a century.

Trust us, it's quite normal and nothing to be concerned about.
