Vland rear led lights T6.1 - anyone fitted?

I’ve recently purchased some T6.1 led rear lights by Vland. My van came with halogen lights and this seemed cheaper than retrofitting genuine units.

I tried them out but the brake light on the new unit is always on, so either they are wired incorrectly or faulty, but before I send them back I was wondering if anyone else has them installed and working?

I replaced the standard rear light on my Amarok with Vland and have now put a set on my M4 and gotta say they are a great upgrade and an easy fit, Those for the T6 look very nice but at the moment I am happy with my OEM LED ones, wouldn't hesitate if I wanted to change though..

Did you get them to work in the end or did you give up on them and try something else?

I bought a set from eBay and fitted them, I have indictor errors on the dash then I found a wire was loose, which I then plugged back in, to then get error codes when reverse was used. despite the errors showing up on the dash the lights worked. I have only just had them collected.

I sent them back. It might have been possible to repin them but I could tell I wasn’t the first person to open the box so I suspected they had been returned by someone else before.

Hi T6ollie,

That's terrible of the seller. I am glad I sent mine back with Duck tape to re seal the box and left water makes on them. so hopefully they can't sell them on to another T6.1 owner I did think about trying to re pin them to remove the secondary harness they come with, to see if that would fix it. I also thought another resistor was needed to remove the bulb out error from the dash.
I have seen similar lights on Chilli Jam I did ring them to see if they were the same Vland lights, they don't thinks so, but they haven't tested them at the time on a T6.1 when I rang them will ring them again as it was when they were closed for Christmas so hopefully they will have had time to test them as they were a new product to them. I will do that once I get my refund.

All the Best Simon.

Has anyone else any experience with these. Ordered some from ebay and they are marked up as Vland. Got the additional harnesses which are marked up as for the T6.1 (L & R). I've a T6.1 with Halogen. Only had a quick look so far but plugged in with the harness nothing worked, though not sure the connection was good. Without the harness the startup was just on a loop along with reverse light. Need to dig deeper. Lots of warning lights and fast indicator light on dash. I've carista if needed but not sure if proper coding will be required 🤷🏽‍♂️

They sadly don’t work as plug and play on the T6.1 with Halogen lights. The best you’ll get is a reverse light error, which can be coded out as far as I know. Dispite the errors I had no issues once I had the right patch lead.
I sent them back in the end and bought the THQ one that are truly plug and play.

All the best Simon.
