Vivante leisure battery

Fairly certain my leisure battery (under the bench seat on the driver side) is failing. A few basic questions from a total beginner.

1.Check with a multimeter...is it simply attaching the 2 leads to the terminals?
2.if it needs changing it it easy to get at? Would I need to remove the sliding bench?
3.Are there electrical issues other than unattaching 2 terminals and dropping a new one in or do I have to "isolate" the starter battery?
4. Is it a job I should get a "professional" to do for me. I am not the most practical person.

The issue is it is not holding its charge and in turn is slowly draining the starter battery (itself fairly new) via the "equaliser system'.I suspect the LB is the original and about 8 years old. I have double checked nothing is being left on.

Appreciate any simply worded (!) advice. Thanks

There is no great way to test the battery without any load on it as it may show great voltage but as soon as a load is introduced the voltage would plummet.

Its rather simple to change the battery. Disconnect the negative first and then disconnect the positive. Install new battery in reverse order. Just make sure to double check the polarity before committing.

I would suggest trying yourself first, it's a nice easy introductory job.

Looks like it's well wedged in there? You can remove the negative first (blue) then positive, is the battery frame thing fixed in?

The two batteries shouldn't be connected unless the engine is on , so the LB shouldn't be drained by the starter, unless the relay has failed ?

Afraid that's about the limit of my knowledge , apart from recommending a battery monitor

I had 2 on mine, but now only the Starter since going Lithium.

@CAB I take it you starter is still AGM ? No issues with different battery types ?
I know there was a discussion about this on another link recently

I think my starter is EFB.

Must have missed that, the split relay shouldn't worry what battery it is attached to.

Anyway, got a nice Orion 50A B2B charging the Lithium. The split relay is only powering the fridge while driving.
