Using Cali seat rail to fix bike forks to?

Just an idea but if you slid the cali seat fully forward can you get a fitting that goes into the rails and goes parallel with the axle, could this be used and modified to have a spindle in it to fasten bike forks to?
Something like this that in term mounts into the rails so it doesn't move about in the van?

You can buy the cali/velle seat base feet seperatly and modify them to suit your needs..

I would imagine so, if not you could always get something similar fabricated to match your requirements. At the end of the day it is simply a 'T' shaped foot in a channel.
