Started the fitting today of the Alpine Halo 11, and ordered a T6.1 kit, from 'Bass Junkies' on E-bay. The kit looks ok (I'm sure they are all similar) but, very few instructions, in fact, none.
My question is, I know I need to replace the circuit board in the factory housing with this one, is it then simply a matter of running these USB ends to the back of the Alpine head unit, and plugging one in each of the two on the rear? One is marked 'Apple Car Play' (which I don't need), the other is marked 'charging' - one is grey, one is black on the Alpine unit. Once done, does this mean the factory wires, now disconnected from the factory USB module are redundant? Do they just hang, and get tied up, or do they need to be connected somewhere?
Worth noting the image above, which is from the listing, is different to what arrived in that there are only the two USB ends on the one that arrived, no Yello, Black or Red wires.
Any help appreciated - I'm normally alright with these sort of things - but, without any information, would value any guidance if you guys can help.
