Upgrade door cards from T6 into T5.1

I believe I know the answer already to this, but would like to double check... When I bought my van at an auction it didn't come with a RH driver doorcard (no idea why someone would remove such thing). Looking for matching door cards to go with the fake dark leather interior in a 2012 T5.1 turns out to be quite difficult... even asked VW for replacement part (I was surprised they actually exist.... for $2k)!

Anyway, I have managed to find a T6 black edition and both door card are available and reasonably priced too... so million dollar question - Does a 2019 T6 doorcard fit into a 2012 T5.1?

I’m currently working on a solution to this question or problem.
It’s not straight forward by any means. But I do have a t6 doorcard very nearly fit. Let’s just say the door closes but there’s a long way to go yet.

No , I’ve looked into it , it looks like too much of a chew. Plenty dashes for sale but they all stripped out.
If I could have sourced a complete one I might have. I can’t be bothered sourcing every part as there’s a lot of little fiddly bits. Why sellers strip every part out is beyond me.
So I’m reworking these door cards then covering them in suede.

It needs a bit of tidying up and possibly a bit of filler or some kind of resin but it’s nearly there. I’m about 3.5 hours in
I think once levelled up and covered in suede it’ll be fine.
Need new Bowden cables as the cable to handle attachment is different.

This mornings latest. Doorcard tubs and top removed for recovering. The infil I’ve done at the front is plastic welded then seamed round with ct1. It’s pretty solid and the fit is good. I’ve started with the suede. About 7 hours in now on one card.

Well I’ve got the 1st doorcard finished. I can’t fit it though. I need a new Bowden cable as fitting is different and a new window switch. I’m happy with the outcome ti what I had. The next one should be quicker todo. I’ve got 9 hrs in and still need todo the above jobs. Here the latest pics. 1st pic is what I had then onto what’s took a day out of my life.

Well I now have one side complete. Window switch has a slight mod in a pin needs bending over slightly to fit in. 3 pins but 4 slots available. Bowden cable fit and working. Fidley as it’s the 1st time I’ve had a regulator out. Next side will be easier. There’s also a rivnut to fit for the internal handle as the t6 one is wider.
I’ve painted the internal handle and window switch surround gloss black. Probably should have done the internal opening handle while I had it removed. Never mind.
All in probably 12 hours. I doubt anyone really wants to tackle what I’ve done. In hindsight I’d probably have modded the dash end panel also as it’s stlll pretty close
