Turbocharger/supercharger underboost condition

When van reaches 2/3k revs the coil light comes on and goes into limp mode. Starts first time and runs fine till those revs (auto) Had a diagnostics done, changed boost presure regulation sensor but still no better. No obvious leaks on pipes.
Advice please where should I go from here?
One garage suggested a diesel specialist another wants to investigate further but unsure which way to turn as don’t want to run up a huge bill just investigating

A common one on these is the rear EGR hard pipe splitting. That can cause underboost faults, poor pull and limp mode, and it often gets mistaken for a turbo issue. Usually you can feel it if you get someone to rev it while you reach down the back of the engine, so I’d be checking that, boost leaks and actuator control before throwing sensors or a turbo at it.

Is it a biturbo model? You've still not said what engine variant it is. But that sounds very pricey for a single turbo and more in the biturbo ball park.
As requested by @mmi on an earlier post.
