Trim Clips and carpeted panels

Having spent the past 2 days swearing at trying to fit my carpeted panels (3.6mm ply) to my carpeted metalwork, does anyone have a recommendation for a better trim clips than your standard "longer trim clips" available on Amazon etc. They just are not long enough! Even with the big hammer I can't get them on properly.

I like these ones:

Screw Fit Plastic Trim Clip, 8mm holePack of 100

This is a part used by Ford and is also a good universal trim clip. The shaft is quite long and suitable for thicker panels and heavy duty uses such as bumpers, side skirt and rocker panel covers.

I've used the hidden ones and they are ok with 3.6mm ply.

The first batch I bought were much better than the second batch weirdly.

We used hidden trim clips aswell with no issues .
The roof lining was a different story and bought a couple of different sorts for that cuz the first lot were garbage!
