Transporter HQ WhatsApp purchases

Thank you all for your comments and thoughts.
I must say, I have bought several items from their website and have always been more than happy with their service. Also, it won’t put me off buying from their website again either.
What I will think twice about though is the WhatsApp or eBay purchases and whether the saving is worth it.

Just to update. I received a replacement headlight a few days ago. THQ said the following “This time we will warrant it even though it’s a WhatsApp purchase.”
And
“There is not any warranty on whatsapp purchases,
So this is a 1 off time we would do this

Its only 12 months warranty on a brand new product”


I feel very lucky that they have replaced the light, as if they hadn’t it would have meant spending over £400 on a new set.
I don’t feel that they cannot warrant it as it’s a new item which may be a return or superficial damage. It wasn’t bought as a faulty unit.

Just something for everyone to be aware of.

I just had a cursory glance through the group and the last post advertising products was on 5 Nov (right? They've added an eBay link since). Nowhere in those posts is there any mention of those items not carrying warranty. As you have to ring them up to order did they make any mention of lack of warranty support?
Their clearance eBay items say returns are not accepted, but do not mention whether this excludes faulty items.

I only ever bought some mirror caps off them, which didn't fit properly and one of the lugs cracked on fitting. I put it down to operator error but alluded to it in my eBay feedback. They contact me to send a full refund, so I have only had a positive experience with their service.
My pal has a set of their headlights and the DRLs have given up - they've sent him a pair of drivers/modules that need to be replaced, which of course means bumpers off and headlights out, but at least it's a solution.

Yeah I think THQ are not very good with customer service, after sales and very overpriced. Three different experiences with them. All negative. I'll never use them again.
 
I'm surprised they are not trade members on here ...
With their customer service and aftersales issues I'm not surprised they have zero presence on here. The vibe I've always got from them is that it's all ego and arrogance. Almost elitist... #boohiss lol
