Towing With a 200hp TSi DSG?

I know this has been asked before but quite a while ago now and no absolute direct answer.
I appreciate the torque thinking with diesel engines.
Not sure what the torque is pushed up to on say 300hp remap on the TSi ?

I tow about 5 times a year not long haul with a twin axle caravan at the moment with my T6 204 diesel and it’s absolutely fine.

Reason for the question was I’m thinking about changing the van over.

I have changed from a mapped 204 bitdi to a mapped tsi.

You need to rev the tsi more if you need to accelerate. The mapped tsi produced more torque than a mapped 150tdi so fine to tow with.

I get similar mpg towing a big twin axle caravan

I tow my rally car with my TSI, I just leave it in sport mode so it doesn't labour the engine and it is great.

Unfortunately the van I was buying has been sold by the sales team even though I had secured it for purchase.
Just need to find another van now!!!
