Tomorrow is my christmas!

Mega excited today as its T6 eve for me. Picking up my T6 from VW Guildford tomorrow afternoon. I am not going to be able to sleep tonight. On a serious note, is there anything I should be checking on the T6 before I leave the dealer?

Take your time, don't rush
Check all panels for dents/scratches and make sure you check the roof others have had dents on top
If you have sat nav make sure the sd card is present and maps work
If you ordered car play/app connect take your phone and a lead to connect it with to make sure it works
Ask about extended warranties as these can only be bought within 12 weeks of vehicle registration

Also worth asking about service packs..... I got the next 4 services (8years, 80000 miles) for £179 plus VAT when I bought mine!!:thumbsup:

Wow that's fantastic!! I got 2 services for £149 inc on our caravelle; the month before the same was on offer for £99!

Went to pick mine up with the intention of going over it with a fine tooth comb, however, after what seemed like an eternity sorting out paperwork, payment and the free VW gap insurance I pretty much spent 2 minutes looking before asking for the keys. Too be honest didn't want to refuse it after waiting so long. On another note if your paying by debit card, give the bank a ring to let them know your buying a new van.

Great advice everyone many thanks. I have been offered a 2 service pack for £150+ but I'll ask about more. I'll probably ask the dealer if I can give her a good looking over before I complete the deal (and the T6)

To my mind the service deals are a no brainier; look at what it would cost to get VW to service it anyway, okay you pay up front (or add it to the finance deal like I did :) ) but ultimately you're saving a LOT and it's an official dealer service ie anything warranty related will get picked up, the people should know what they're doing, and it probably helps with resale values for those that consider that a bonus :)
