The perfect second car…

What is? Am I missing your previous post? Or is this in relation to someone elses post? (The scooters above? 👆🏻)
I was wondering the same. Definitely not the scooters: less than £200, no servicing or MoT, euro infinity, definitely can't leave anywhere, seriously matters if someone runs into them, no doors to lock.
I think maybe it was referring to a Smart car 🤔

My second car. Cant beat the sound of a vr6
Great car , my buddy had one that was Turbo charged went like a rocket ... number plate started the same as yours !
Unfortuantly this one isnt turbod....or fortunatly which ever way you look ate it as it is standard minus the milltek exhaust

VW put fruity engines in some of the less desirable models - beetle, bora, jetta which can be a bit cheaper and under the radar!

Here’s my offering. 2023 Mazda MX5 2.0 L. 184 BHP rear wheel drive, manual, independent rear suspension, normally aspirated and as light as a wet dish cloth. If you are a ‘driver’ and a ‘car person’ what’s not to like. It’s comfy when it needs to be, a civilised mile muncher ( I’ve done two Europe road trips in it doing about 2.5 K miles in a week and it was epic😎 France, Italy, Germany, Austria)
I’ve had Caterhams, Vauxhall VX22O Turbo, Golf R mk 7.5 and Hyundai i30N but this is just the best
It’s not all about the numbers (which with EV everyday hatchbacks eating most things off the line now, largely irrelevant too), but the way it just makes you feel. It’s a keeper. 👌

Had a mk1 miata, always intended to turbo or supercharge it ....never got around to it , the girlfriend took it with her when she left 🙄

I like the MX5 very much. It narks me greatly that getting in one is like trying to slip into a pair of Speedos 6 sizes too small.

Great little car to drive ....looked at buying a lotus elan a few years back but eventually just had to settle for a much cheaper alternative but still heavily influenced by the elan .

I think theyre brilliant. Small, inexpensive, perfect balance of chassis and power, just good old fashioned fun. All these years on and Mazda are still making a success out of the same basic recipe.

Sadly my grossly obese and comically tall muscular amd lofty frame limited me to a Merc, SAAB, BMW or Volvo when I wanted some ragtop action. SAAB was out as didnt want a 4 cylinder if I were spending that sort of money, MB verts are for the wives of football thugs, 3 series a bit small inside with a bit of a wideboy image, which left a field of one. Id be buggered today if I decided to buy another new ragtop.

Theres a local car show coming up that always has a good turn out of early MX5's and Im looking forward to seeing them this year.

Indeed, they are a bit ‘snug’ (but I like that). However I’m only 5’ 6” with size 6 feet 😆 so I fit like a glove 🤣

I'm 6'2" and managed to squeeze in ok  .
Did a day once with a proper 'plump' instructor in a caterham , must have shoe horned himself in and out of the thing, boy could he drive.
