T6 Window fitting

Hi - I have recently fitted Windows to the rear barn doors, it went ok but I struggled to get the trim on both the cut edge and inside edge. I am doing the side windows soon and carpeting at the same time, do I just put the trim on the outside cut edge or do I need to buy a wider trim to go over both? Thank you

I would forget the trim.
I would......
Cut hole, deburr, prime cut, then carpet line van and go over the cut edge to outside of the van.
leave approx 5mm external and then fit window.

Thanks for the advice mate, we'll do that and go over the cut edge
