Hi again,
So im going to want some roof bars (back to front that i can leave on. With the ability to add some heavy duty quick release cross bars (to take carpet on top) but not leave on all the time?

Trouble is , I've spent 3 hours searching now and cant find anything with upright end stops ?
Anyone help me out?
I need to get these sorted in the next few days
Any suggestions please (im wanting to try and stay away from the builders look)
Thanks n

Is this the sort of thing you are looking for? Thule Fold Down Load Stop
Thats the sort of end stop thing yes mate.
But most of the roof bar companies only do that kind of set up on direct fixed roof bars ? (Not running front to back first)
That are heavy duty enough to take the weight (rhino for example ?)
Unless im going blind :(

Once you get the rails on the van I think you just choose the bars you want (Thule ProBar 39x, 2-pack for above) and then get the feet that fit onto whatever rails you've got??
Ahh gotcha..
So standard vw rails should hopefully take thule cross bars? Or the thule is a all in one product where the feet stay attached to the van direct to the roof? And i can simply remove the cross bars

Have a scan of this guide which will hopefully show how it fits together. You effectively have the front to back rails, the cross bars, feet that connect to the bars to the rails and various accessories that go onto the cross bars. I'd start with the rails you want and then work up from there - some elements, but not all, will be interchangeable between manufacturers. If you speak to someone like The Roof Box Company they will be able to advise on what will work.

Superstar mate..
Thank you very very much

I had the VW 'front-to-back ' rails fitted by the dealer when I picked the van up last week. Good looking and sturdy. I've got 2 aerodynamic cross bars (VW) fitted to them. I'll probs get another 2 of these as well. 75kg loading, so plenty tough enough for me. They look smart too, and sit really low to the roof.
