T6 After Market Head Unit Questions

Hi All,:)
I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Highline LWB T30 Petrol TSI 150ps Transporter which unfortunately I am having to get quicker than planned. :( I was hoping to go for a factory order so as i could get things like the sat nav unit, but that not an option anymore.

My plan is to instead change the head unit afterward myself (done plenty before), but in the past none of the head units i have changed have been integrated in any way with the vehicle, so I'm hoping someone can help here?

1st of all i have no idea what if anything (i think the rear parking sensors are tied up with it?) are tied up with the unit as i didn't need to know that information before. I have taken a quick look at aftermarket units and this one from Alpine seems like a possibility?

But I'm not sure if the T6 has a dual or single Din? In which case do i need this one?

Can anyone help please?

Also is there anything else that is recommended to add to the T6 at the time of purchase bearing in mind that it will be a stock vehicle? So far I've just added the standard ply lining, Mudflaps and a glazed top half bulkhead (which is costing more).

I have always changed headunits in my previous vans, but have found the standard highline unit with appconnect for sat nav from phone to be pretty good.
Previously had parrot for hands free, Sat nav separate, aftermarket head unit, but liking the factory set up with all in one.
OK sound too.

I've never liked a separate sat nav unit or linking a phone to the unit to do it that way (probably because I buy very cheap phones).

Always in the past changed the units myself, but then in the past the only thing to worry about was the steering wheel remote.

I also plan to upgrade the speakers and eventually fit an amp etc, i don't suppose any knows what size of speakers the van uses?

The x800 and x801 & x802 are all bigger than double din but fit double din slots depending on the vehicle.
The single din looking rear is just because it's mechless meaning no cds and less space needed.

I run the x801du with the kit801t5to install in and give steering controls and sensors etc. I still need to code the van to display sat Nav on the dials.
Minor modding needs doing to fit.

Search x801 on here and you should find my posts.
