T6.1 reverse camera

Hi

I am a buying a used Transporter barn door 6.1 panel van this week

The reverse camera seems to not be the best quality, it’s the factory camera not aftermarket, has anyone somehow upgraded to a better quality/more HD one ?

I had one fitted to my 2024 T6.1 Highline (moving line camera) and it is still low resolution - Same camera that is use on other vehicles - and gives better results - Seems its more to do with the head unit on the model - that does not have the interface in the glove box.

In fairness to the guy who did my install - before he started the main install - as soon as he saw the unit in Glove Box was not there - he did warn me... then as soon as he got the head unit out - he did a temporary connection and some coding and showed me the resolution - so I could change my mind - before he did the install.

Could be same issue with yours.... so not a lot that can be done... unless you change the head unit.

I did read a few posts on here and seems low resolution is a common issue with FF cameras and aftermarket upgrades with the T6.1
