Very similar! waiting for new Transporter Kombi, hopefully will be delivered in July. Lots of research to be done, to find the important upgrades to do immediately, such as sound-deadening.
Nearly bought a kombi but I want to put it through my business so I bought a van instead as there's no issues there. Yes, I want rear seats, rear sliding kitchen, some sexy wheels and A/T tyres, pop top and a sound system.
