T6.1 Control Panel Faulty touch Screen

A few months back my auxiliary battery went dead as I wasn't able to use the Van for a few months due to an operation. About a month ago I got the battery changed and everything working fine except the control panel, just above the rear view mirror. Been to two different car dealers and been told that I need to change it. Has anyone done this for themselves?

Hope so really don't want to spend over £1000 as quoted if someone knows how to change it if possible.
