Anybody have experience with the Avon Tuning DimSport tuning box for the T6.1 150 Bosch ECU and can provide feedback of how they find it?

That was a quick confirmation 
I was looking at them the other day, still a tuning box and not sure I trust them. Sure plenty people use them with no issues but not for me.
Find it very strange that nobody has managed to easily map the ecu by now.

I have the Dimsport Rapid TPM (Tuning Module) on my T6.1 110ps, I've had it on the van for 8 months+ and its never skipped a beat. Mine has the Auto transmission and I also opted for the Pedal Box which really improved the throttle response. From my email back and fourth with George at Avon Tuning, he provided this information which may provide useful to others;
"The VW Transporter T6.1 is equipped with a tune-protected Bosch ECU (MD1CS104), which currently prevents conventional ECU remapping.
At present, there are no tools available on the market capable of reading from or writing to this specific ECU. As a result, we are unable to offer remapping for this vehicle at this time. We are actively monitoring developments, and hope that a solution will become available in the near future as tuning tool manufacturers continue to evolve their capabilities."

Thanks for the info. How much has it improved performance?
In my manual I find there's generally not enough torque at low down revs, then you get a surge of torque which ramps down fairly quickly. Do you feel the box has just ramped everything up a bit or has it actually smoothed out power delivery across a greater rev range?
Did they do any custom configuration for your van based on what you wanted as the website suggests or was it just plug and play with default settings?

Made a huge difference but helps that mines the lower power model. I got 30hp & 35-40nm extra and that was perfect as I do lots of towing. My close friends also have a converted T6.1 which they use for trips across Europe and they've not had any issues (as far as I understand). When I collected it from Avon I thought I had a different van lol, power delivery, the hesitation when pulling away disappeared. Its a mile ahead of what I expected!
I understand the tuning box is Dimsport hardware, but it comes with custom Avon Tuning software installed. The guys there have two T6.1 of there own running the modules which is why I decided to go for Avon.

All in I paid £973. The Module is £549, the pedal box £275 and fitting was £100
