Hi all

Currently going through the process of reverting to a swamper look, so looking into some new wheels

Found some axe at4 which I really like the look
Of.

17 x 9 with and ET of 34

And tyres I’m looking at tyres around 245 / 65 r 17

Either the falkens or general grabbers .

Any issues with rubbing or general fouling on standard t30 suspension?

Thanks

There seems be to a 70 page - 1400 posts topic on this subject? 🙃

Thanks Richard , Trawled through loads of this and also the show us ya 17’s page but really struggling to get a definitive answer !

Thanks

Unsure whether to go 235 or 245???

Thanks

Have you trawled the posts on wheels and tyres to see what might fit and what might rub. It is not just the size of the overall package but also getting the offset right the bigger the package. Some wheels/ tyres might fit under better than others. Lifted or standard suspension makes a difference. Unless one need that size why not buy a regular or size found more commonly on Transporters. I only went bigger because I live off road and ned the clearance along with the grip of AT tyres. Mine are 255/55R18 BFG AT KO2 on a Caravelle exec no rubbing even on full articulation. Forgot the offset and width but they are on steel wheels. Having said that, some inner wheel arches might rub on other peoples vehicles that is why it is worth trawling through the threads to see. If I was only on the road at all times I would just use standard wheels and tyres though steel would be fine they draw less attention from potential wheel thieves and as more and more go over to big off road tyres and attractive rims for fashion I can only imagine thefts going up :)

Have you seen this thread?

When you look at how big (huge) 235/65-17s already look, 245/65-17s might not be the best idea, if possible at all. Let alone that the speedo will be far off and the overall gearing will be quite a bit taller too. Both are far from ideal imo.
