Surface mount and run cables in conduit

Van is insulated and lined … so wondering if I can run cables from leisure battery under drivers seat … surface mounted in conduit ?

It will eventually be covered by a kitchen

Any advantages disadvantages to running the. In this way ?

Or shall I run behind panels ?

Hi. If you’re only running from the driver’s seat to the rear offside wall then the route is normally under the floor mat, up the B pillar and through at low level, under where the window usually is. It’s really easy to do. You’ll be so pleased with yourself that it’s done properly and you haven’t created a dust trap. Insulation can just be moved out of the way locally.

Other advantage is when you come to sell it, it’ll be more attractive.
