Sun canopy when moving van.

I am on the verge of buying Debus air sun canopy as I like the idea that I may be able to add sides in the future. One thing holding me back is the thought that it’s not drive away so I may have to pack it up each time I move. Has anyone else got one, or something similar, and do you have any ideas about pegging it down when you leave site. So it can stay up. Thanks.

Looking at this pic.

If you wanting to drive away. ....

You would need a drive away kit.... A fig8 strip and kador strip.

Then maybe use a couple of king poles pegged out on the van side.... to stop the whole thing falling over.?

I hadn’t thought about adding additional poles to keep it upright so that’s definitely an idea worth following. I did see someone with a different sun canopy and they managed to peg the section that attaches to the van to the floor while keeping the other side up on its poles. I was hoping I would be able to do similar with this.

I had the vango air sun canopy and rigged it tipped forward once when we went out. Didn’t bother again as I needed to add extra guys and at the end of the day probably would have been easier to take it down. The normal debus you can easily reconfigure it as a tarp when you go out, very easy if you use a kador to connect it

I have this and use the drive away strip as normal …. Yes it drops but when required just attach as normal … 👍…. I have the door panel not the sides and it’s fine ..

Thanks Scotty, I was hoping someone would say it works. I will buy one and see how I get on.
They are a good easy canopy to put up …. Like
I say the door was enough for us and gives enough privacy …. Just as easy to pack away …. 👍

Do you mean you just disconnect the van then let the door droop down?
