Hi guys bought a 17 plate a few months ago ,it has a 7 speed dsg box , starts fine with engine management light on (awaiting diagnostic ) goes into gear fine , starts to pull away and then it as if it comes out of gear and over revs as if it’s come out of gear and the coil light comes on . Any ideas guys

Wait for your diagnostics but sounds to me like a solenoid in the mechatronics. (Gearbox ECU)
What’s the millage? Has the servicing been kept up to date on the gearbox? Do you get a number flashing in the centre of the dash? Usually if it’s a gearbox error the gear selected flashes up

At 96000 miles it is due for its SECOND DSG service,
However the error sounds more like electrical than mechanical.
Maybe start by checking fuses:

but I’ve found a company gearbox central who do a refurbished unit for £980Similar threads
