Driving a fair way to my Coastguard location and back, I was chuckling to myself at the rate at which my big barge of a van can chuck itself down the road and while it's too tall too really lean into corners at least with 4motion, it grips hard.
I believe the 204 is currently the most powerful van on sale (not checked so I may be wrong; what's the top Merc van now?) and with proper brakes making £100k motorhomes that wheeze uphill with tiny 130ish bhp engines and weeny wheels (therefore tiny brakes) look like a complete PITA.
Still bemused at the noise the 2.0 makes; its quiet and refined but just gives no hint at all that it's quite powerful.
By coincidence the van and 3.0 turbo M135i we have both share the same peak torque figure.
Anyway just a little bit of love for the EA288 unit from a non diesel fan.
