Sticky cruise control buttons

Hi all,

The steering wheel mfd buttons for the ACC are quite stiff and sticky, does anyone know a way to free these up? Is there a better solution than a little wd40 squirted in?!

When driving with the ACC on I wanted to increase the speed by 1mph by pressing the Res button, I didn’t notice but the Res then got stuck in and so it disabled the ACC and I wasn’t able to turn cruise control back on, it was fine after the engine was turned off and back on.

I would not put any oil based lubricant like regular WD40. It is absorbed by plastic which then swells. Might make the problem worse. Get a can of switch cleaner, there is a WD40 branded one which is plastic safe available at Screwfix.
