Starter Battery recommendations please...

I have a 2012 LWB Shuttle with a 2L TDI engine/DSG.

The van currently has a RAC004 85AH battery fitted, dimensions 315, 175, 175.

I think the battery is on its way out. Sat on the drive the battery only holds charge for around 2 weeks. And despite a full recondition the other day and then 120 miles of driving, testing today only shows it as being 85% charged with a rating of "good" on the charger. The van also has a lesuire battery/split charge system.

So I am thinking about changing the battery and aiming for something around 85+AH minimum.

What batteries to people suggest?

Also how big can you go with a battery in a T5.1 in terms of physical dimensions?

Thanks

Thanks for the info. Can I ask three rookie questions..

1) If i went for the Bosch, given my van is euro 5a, non stop-start would i need to do any programming to "code" the battery or is is just a case of droping it in? I assume without stop-start no coding is needed??

2) Also my current battery is not AGM, but I guess that is not an issue?

3) The van has an after market radio... so aside from radio codes is there anything else I need to be aware of when swapping out the battery?

Thanks

1. No coding on the T5.1, just chuck it in and away you go
2. You shouldn't fit an AGM type battery as there's no smart alternator/charging on our vans.
3. You'll need to reset the "one shot" windows once done.

I have a Bosch S5 011 85Ah on mine and it's been no bother (5.5 years old now and still going strong)

Thanks, for the advice. I'll go for one of those batteries. Just seen a quick video on the windows, looks simple enough!
