Sportcraft drivers swivel with raiser shims

Hi, I have a sportcraft passenger swivel and I’d like to fit the same on my drivers side.
Has anyone done this with raiser shims from rib swivel?

can buy them separately on eBay and thought at least that way they’ll help with clearance for leisure battery and miss the handbrake?

I’ve just fitted 2 sportscraft swivels. There are 2 different ones for a T6 one with nut on top and one with the nut on the bottom. I fitted the one with the nut on the bottom on the passengers seat as there’s nothing under the seat and fitted the one with the nut on top on the drivers seat to clear the leisure battery underneath, I still had to lower the handbrake to clear it.

I was thinking of the one with the nut up on the drivers side with the shims in the pic I posted to save lowering the hand brake.

That would probably work depending on there thickness, they do look quite thick.
I went down the route of drilling out the spot welds of the handbrake bracket and welded it back on lower. The nut on top swivel is already quite a bit thicker than the nut on bottom one so with the shims fitted it will make the seat height even taller. I like sitting as low as possible so that would make it too high for me but if it suits you then give it a try, it’s easier than rewelding the handbrake bracket.

Yeah all my leisure electrics are fitted inside the base now so might be a pain to remove.
I could order the spacers and then trial fit the passenger one on and check it.

Did you give this a try? I’m in the same position as you! I’ve either got to try and relocate the battery or scrap the swivel idea!

Great stuff thank you. Out of interest how much life do the shims give? And how do they attach to the two studs on the seat base?
