So what do a Jeep Gladiator and a T6.1 have in common?
... Neither bothered included a drivers footrest! Thankfully, on AliExpress a couple of options exist for the Jeep, there's the one I chose, and another more flat square version (that I'm not sure will work, but if did fit, then a VW style chrome plate could be fixed to it.
Anyway, not content with the look of the other attempt on here (sorry!) I wanted to give this a go, and I'm pretty sure I've solved it. I just need to work out a way of utilising the existing bolt to the right, either I'll drill a hole in the plate, or I'll use an L shape flat bracket or something.
Anyway, here it is! It's adjustable as well, hinged, solid metal, and has different mounting heights:
