Looking to fit solar and a lithium battery in my LWB Caravelle.

Looking at a Roamer or Fogstar 240ah under seat battery along with 2 x 200w panels on the roof. Is 400w overkill for panels? Are CIGS panels worth the upgrade in cost?

Looking to camp as a family of 5 with nights “off grid” thrown in.

If you can fit/afford them, then go for it. Nobody ever complained about having too much battery or solar. Bear in mind that you will never see 400W from the panels. On an average UK summer say, you might get 300W if you're lucky. I'd say you'll average closer to 200W.
