I've purchased a SmartSolar Charge Controller MPPT 100 20 to replace the function that is currently being performed by the CTEK 250 (a great bit of kit, but doesn't have a fancy app).
I currently have the Solar panel grounding on the Van, and the Positive attached correctly to the CTEK. With the Victron Controller, do I need to attach the negative of the panel to PV negative on the Victron controller, or is it OK to remaining grounded on the van?
I'm struggling to find a definitive answer to why it would need to be, and if it does - then it's a much bigger job as id need to channel a ground cable the length of the van!
Thanks
