The wife knows I hate the commercialism of Valentine's Day. She knows she will only get a card and no silly overpriced flowers, meal in a restaurant full of teen couples on their phones or a stupid stuffed bear.

So why when she looks on damn Facebook does she have a face like thunder when she sees friends parading their bouquets.

I told her not to expect anything yesterday. If I am gonna get her flowers it will be a surprise not because everyone else is doing it!

:mad::(

Not even a card in this house. Married for 17 years 4 kids a dog and a cat. Every penny we have is going towards the new house. Roll on May....

Overly Commercialised Nonsense!

My missus got to drive my new T6 on Saturday - that'll do her for the year :devil::devil:

So Mrs Loz and I never do any retailer day stuff, but she has been meaning to pick up a new bowl for the kitchen sink for ages (because apparently??? I used it for something and ruined it) so I ordered one last week and it just happen to turn up today from Amazon in one of their usual over sized boxes, so I decided to print out a Happy Valentines Day poster and stuck it on the box, also as a strange coincidence Amazon put on the label over 18 to sign?

So.... you can imagine her face this evening when she got home, why does it say over 18 to sign she said with a grin. At which point I thought, bugger this is going to backfire big time when she opens it and finds the washing up bowl!

At least she got the joke and I'm not in the spare room tonight :)

You let her drive the van, but you kept her grounded and didn't let her get beyond herself, which is why she was not allowed to operate the power tailgate!

Too bloody right!

Mind you I'd been in Cardiff all day to watch the match (no comments please.....) & after a days drinking was in no fit state to argue & 45 miles is a long walk home :eek::eek:

Box of Ferrerro Roche which the kids will eat later as she's "on a diet"!!

We use it for work and keeping in touch BUT it needs handling with care.

Anyone constantly posting about their perfect relationship will probably split up soon.
Anyone posting endless kid photos is either a sleep deprived new parent or has awful kids.
Anyone posting vacuous "feel good" memes is depressed.

And anyone posting non stop pictures of their car/van (in particular, has one as a profile pic) is to be avoided at all costs.

I avoid Facebook where possible. The trouble is my by two eldest sons football teams are managed in a Facebook group so can't avoid it.

Plus I need an account to manage my clients FB accounts.

Sadly FB and Twitter are unavoidable for me. :(

Same here @T6dder ; manage a few business FB and Twitter accounts plus our local area Coastguard one (with two others).

Are you in a similar line of work? We run a PR/comms business.
