Hi everyone. Im new here. I wondered if anyone has experience of the . Especialy the speaker volume Im interested in

I have had a few snooper devices before as well as others such as the pure angel range.

The issue with them is they go off all the time as they rely heavily on a static database of known locations of cameras. This is great for static cameras but cause me so many false positives on mobile vans..

I have always just ended up going back to Waze. I think due to the amount of Waze users everything feels much more up to date, much less false positives and an overall better experience for free.

The only advantage I really saw of any of these devices was road angels contract with the highways agency that allows them to get real time smart motorway limits.

Waze is very good. I bought the Snooper SC5900 because it is a combined camera detector and dashcam but the volume is so low it cant be heard when the engine starts even though its a very quiet engine. I called them and I was told it should be the same volume as the MySpeed which I also have, but after returning it, another person from Snooper called me and said the volume is normal and it has a smaller speaker than the MySpeed. Conflicting views from them leaving me thinking theyre palming me off with a faulty device.

It used to either go off too late or go off when there was nothing there for me, it was another annoyance of it.

Once again another reason I went back to Waze, just more reliable.

The only thing I don’t like about Waze is that fact that people cannot seem to work out the difference between highway officers and police 🤣
