Hi all, ordered a new t6 shuttle and the dealer has told me i cant have the comfort dash as an option. Its not on the shuttle se option list but it is on the kombi.Anyone tell me why you cant have it on a new build?

its just the build list on that particular model of van,

the computer ordering system just wont have the options on that model, but would have them for say a Cally.

its the same if you want spare parts, they ask you for the VIN number, i wanted some Cally parts for my Panel Van.

They said i couldnt have them . . . . lol...

unless i gave them the correct VIN number of a van that had the correct spare parts. (so i had to go outside and take a picture of the vin from a newly delivered Cally van to get my spares)

so technically you could have the dash, but you might have to retro-fit it afterwards.

I have been very direct shall we say with the dealers but their not for having it.looks like retro fit is the way.First time I've had a vw from new and the options im finding are expen

I can't see why it wouldn't be on the option list, you don't have the twin front seat on the spec do you?
No I've gone for the single seat. The dealer reckons lots of people ask for it but they cant have it.

Its like the heated screen,if you pick that you have to have light and vision pack, which is auto headlights and wipers and something elese i cant remember now for £250+,explained that i can buy a plug n play switch etc to have auto lights and even shown him on my phone, said my loom is different!!.It sounds like im dealer bashing, im not they seem ok to be fair.

I would try another dealer just to be sure that your Salesman knows what he's doing.

Upgrading the dash aftermarket to a Comfort is expensive - so either get the comfort dash day one, or negotiate a decent price on not having it.
