Do you have a switch panel in your van furniture? Looking for ideas.
So what do you have mounted in it? Hearer control (Eber/Webasto etc)
What else do you have and whats the layout?

Photos would be great as I cant find a thread specifically about this so it would be good to put them all in one place. (Like the under seat builds etc.)
Links to the bits you used might also be helpful.

I don’t have a central switch panel, but I do have switches in various places where they are convenient to use.

Lighting -
B pillar and D pillar via a relay for the main lights
Above the kitchen for kitchen downlights
D pillar for load bay/inside wardrobe/tailgate lights
Above fridge for fridge isolation (otherwise the interior light stays open when the door is set ajar)
Water pump doesn’t have a separate one, it is wired via the tap
Main isolation for all the battery load in seat base
All the USb outlets are switched at the units

Thanks. I was thinking for:
1. Heater control
2. Screen for the Cerbo display
3. USB outlets for phone charging etc
4. Mains socket x2

Here ya go @Skyliner33 !
It works for us, Webasto heating controls accessible from under the duvet, half a cork (currently) blutacked over the hole left by an originally misplaced temp sensor, now in the right place below the webasto multicontroller.
Another hole with (currently) a nasty thermometer gadget where the original webasto rheostatic type controller lived before I did the job properly!
Pretty much settled on what we need now so next year's project is to sort out a new panel!

Just purchased a Savvy Van panel with the battery add on. Saw it at the NEC and was impressed by the layout and quality
Will see how it works in the van soon

Sure....

I'll get some later.
I'm not a fan of switches or switch panel so I wanted to hide my switches out the way, so I fitted a bank of 4 on the left hand side fridge wall behind the driver's seat.

These were for fridge water pump light etc.... and 2 spare.

But I quickly moved these over to the cerbo GX,... And Done away with the fridge power switch as it can be turned off on its own panel ... That left me with just the water pump switch.

I fitted hidden switches for my lighting..

I have a 3way rocker (van/off/lb) switch on the B pillar for the main lights on the bottom of the bed board.

And I have a hidden switch up underneath the kitchen cabinet for those downlighters.

And a hidden switch on the back light pocket thing.

Apart from that I have the "USB battery powered Auto light" things that come on with movement same as @Bigsidavies has.. which can be removed and thrown in the drawer when not needed.

So having said all of that this is my switch panel, I wanted to keep as much of the wood effect as possible without having it full up of switches that I didn't really need.

Fwiw .. I also looked at using Wi-Fi hidden switches that could be switched on and off by the app for example Shelley or Bluetooth switches or any of the above as I've got Wi-Fi in the van and these can be switched on and off remotely... I could do the same thing with a servo GX so didn't bother fit in them.

We also have twin high power USB charger sockets, these are 60 watt PD USB c with a USB A.... And I sticky magnet on the side that I can put my phone on.

The 240v power sockets was all pre-designed..(the inverter is switched on by a soft switch on the cerbo GX, you can also have a hard switch fitted if needed, which so far we don't need)

We wanted the coffee machine and kettle plugged in by the cerbo screen.. and also to be able to plug in the hair dryer etc.

But when the beds made the coffee machines in the middle of the bed so Lisa suggested having the coffee machine at the far left side so I added a double socket there as well, .. tucked in behind the driver's seat so it's hidden.

This actually works really well and how we're using 95% at a time the coffee machine sits in a try on an anti-slip mat, and just stays there..... then when we need power outside the van I just run an extension lead from the other point and then up and through the cracked drivers door window and out to the awning.

It works really well for us.

Aside from that I have a ehu point under the bonnet which leads to a double socket under the passenger seat where I can plug in my charger when needed.

And future plans I have an external ehu point to go underneath the back bumper which will come off of the inverter supply

And I have a flying twin socket under the sink that the microwave plugs into.

It's all detailed on my Dell massive campervan adventure thread.

The external RGB roof LEDs are permanently connected and switched on and off via the app, but when camping I just set a auto timer going.

I've also got USB chargers in the rear d pillars, which are leftover from when we had the ovano set up. I just left them in place, and they still work.

I also have a 12-v reading light at the top of the rear d pillar again left over from the ovano days..... And that has its own on and off switch on it.

....

We have a mini consumer unit that's connected to the inverter.... Which has twin rcbo's.... This is tucked into the side panel at the back of the cupboard. So to get to it you need to empty out the cupboard. ... So far the trip switches have never tripped out.. and to be fair they shouldn't ever trip out unless there is a fault or a problem, which so far there hasn't been.

Is that a Ruuvi or similar to the right of your double power sockets?

I wanted all my switches etc in one place so made up a plywood panel, at the top is a 12 v internal/external thermometer, there’s the inverter switch with its dedicated socket under the flap panel, a victron display, usb a+c, 12 v , light switches etc, the Diesel heater control is above the rear view mirror.
I’ve changed one double switch to two singles so I can turn off the fridge and tap.
I was going for the utility look in the van anyway, it I’ll works great, the panel can be removed with a couple of screws if needed.IMG_6475.jpegIMG_6476.jpeg

No, that's a sticky magnet for my phone.

I have 3* ruuvi on the van though.

1* outside temp. (Fuel flap)
2* inside temp (head height, inside wall panel by rib chair)
3* equivalent rack temp(behind fridge, mppt. Cerbo gx, inverter etc)

Is it a phone charging sticky magnet? It looks the same size as a Ruuvi...
I need covering ideas for my nasty panel hole currently covered by a nasty thermometer!

No just a magnet.

But you can get magsafe versions.
... That will charge.

I'd love to see more photos of this build! is it a self build?

P.S., where did you source the HEX ply from?

Thanks for the in depth reply. Much appreciated. I will have to look how to do the switch thing with the Cerbo.

Thats great, thanks for the pic. I am slightly puzzled as to why you have a third 230V socket under a flap when there are 2 that are not.
