Should tents be banned or segregated?

Ah - that’s clever. Better than the old spoiler link. Thank you!

We've only stopped the once at Hilton Park, about three weeks ago, on our way up to Scotland so I can't comment on the showers but I couldn't believe how many toilets they had for a medium sized site.
The wife said the same applied her side although she did say that it was another place where it paid to take your own tissue just incase.
Our pitch had no EHU however the traveller family adjacent had managed to get their lamppost open and were busy using a plasma cutter to great effect on an unregistered late model Range Rover they appeared to be repairing.
There weren't too many grass pitches considering how most of our neighbours appeared to own more than one dog but apart from an Amazon van and later a PC Howard truck catching our awning guys it was a peaceful night on what would surely be a great school holiday family adventure site.
If it wasn't for the lure of another M6 suited but slightly more up market site at Tebay I would rate Hilton Park as possibly the best tent and caravan site in the North/West, we'll definitely stop there again. :geek:

Is quite a nice little spot considering you’re right next to the M6. Used the campsite a few times now to break long journeys heading to Scotland.
We used to use the Hotel before we had the van but you had to book over a year in advance if you needed a room you could bring your dog in.

I think the fact that you can't actually see the M6 from Tebay despite being less than 100 metres from it is the defining difference, indeed the hiss of tyres on wet tarmac also sounds very similar to that of surf on shingle. 🤫
