Semi Swamper Advice

Still loving my Chestnut Brown T6 after a few months of ownership. Still got a few bits to do inside but have been thinking about what I do externally at some point. The interior style is more functional than plush, with the Ovano and hex side panels to match, so I thought a Semi Swamper look might suit it.

Currently it has standard shocks but Sportline springs fitted, with Sportline wheels and the usual 255 tyres. Has Black side bars currently, but will need replacing as there is the usual rust on the leading ends.

Having looked around, I like the idea of sticking with current suspension for now, but fitting 17” wheels with AT style tyres so that I get a little bit of a raise off the ground again, plus fill the arch at the same time. I love the chunky tyre look too, but won’t get used off road other than beach car parks, etc.

What draws my eye are either the Tomahawk Outlaw or Kato, and r maybe Oz Rally Raid. Tomahawk’s are Matte Black only. Rally Raid’s are Matte Black, Gloss Black or a wildcard Gloss Bronze. The later potentially suiting the Chestnut Brown a lot.

I would also like to fit the Front Runner Slimline II Rack as that would look superb and be functional for bikes, paddle boards, etc.

I am not looking to fit the plastic arches, snorkel, etc, hence the Semi Swamper title.

Interested in thoughts on the above, pitfalls and positive experience from those who’ve done this type of thing, plus suggestions on options I haven’t maybe thought of wheel wise, etc.

Cheers guys.

Id choose the Kato in black with your paint colour.

I have Wolfrace Explorer Overlands on my Swamper, although as much as I love them that style is a little common.

The arches and snorkel look good on a white van, but I can dig keeping it simple on your colour. An alloy engine bash plate would just be glimpsed from the front and would add a subtle touch of Swamper without overdoing things.
