Seat brackets - trip hazard

OK, hear me out on this one.... I have had a T5 kombi for years.... 3 seat bench in the middle with four floor brackets.

my new van has a 1+1+1 which is great. BUT as the van is most often used without the seats the floor is like a minefield. The brackets stick out quite high and are just a nuisence.

Ok, I could stop being a princess and just live with it...but I was curious if anyone has made the floor higher to recess them, or done something else clever to make them less irksome on the feet at 2am in the morning when I am stumbling about in the dark trying to get out for a wee....

Yeah.. we used those, then a rug/Matt on top.

I’ve got a 12mm ply base then a 5mm underlay and B&Q click vinyl.
This has the floor level with the brackets. I made some fillers for the brackets covered with the vinyl and with a mat over there are no noticeable lumps.
I don’t think I have a pic but I’ll post one when I get back from 24deg sunny Gran Canaria!😎🥵
Can’t wait to get back to the rain!😖☔

Found one!
This is with plain wood inserts. Only need 10 because when the units are in the rhs ones are hidden - the furniture is all de mountable.

It was like this at first but was too lumpy so I made another trip to B&Q and re-cut the holes!
