Seat Belt Side Change

I've used the search and found related threads, but no definitive answer.

I bought a driver's side single seat and fitted it today, without really even thinking about the seatbelt. Can the seat belt be safely fitted on the other side?

There's conflicting information, but has anyone actually done it??

Yes, drivers on passenger side and vice versa. Did that because I didn't realise the seats were offset from the bases when I made the adaptor brackets so drivers was off set from the steering wheel when I fitted them the 'right' way round so I swapped 'em.

Makes sense thanks, but that's on GTD seats .. hopefully T6.1 ones are the same...

So... they aren't, there is no mounting point for the seatbelt. And the height adjuster gets in the way

Why are people always buying the single seats from sets on ebay/Facebook back in the UK - what are they doing with them!?

It's the single passenger seats that people want, to replace the double.

People sell the drivers singles because they have swapped for Golf, Tiguan, etc.
