Screen Wash Tank Sensor Connector?

Hi all

I had a look under the front today and noticed that there is a sensor connector, on what I think is the screen wash tank, not connected.

is that normal? I've got no warnings on the dash and there doesn't seem to be a loose cable anywhere

Thanks for any help in advance

Do you have LED headlights ?
Washer level warning is part of the LED headlight/washer package so if you dont have LEDs then it prob shouldnt be connected

Non LED vehicles normally have a white washer bottle with no sensor and LED vehicles have a black one with the sensor (as pictured)

No LED headlights. I suspect that tank may have been fitted/replaced after-factory, I've not owned the vehicle from new. Thanks for the info. If I get LED headlights do I need to source the sensor cable? is that a big job?
And are they independent? i.e. can I get the cable now and enable the sensor in the ECU without the LED lights?

cheers

Yes not too bad to hook up the sensor it just switches out a negative signal but you will need to run a wire back to the dash and connect to rear of instrument cluster then activate the function in vcds

Factory LEDS here, black tank, HEADLIGHT washers. And low level sensor.
