Scratched paint, at the dealer

just had the car at the dealer for the 'quality program'. Software update, sensor and pipe replacemeny etc..

First thing I notice was a long scratch at the side of the car. Speachless...

Well that wasn't an improvement m8, gutted for you.. This is why mine goes in spotless, cleaned by me, and I examine it when I get it back! Egits!

I did deliver it spotless, and dealer said they will fix it.

Ironically I believed I was the one that would make the 'battle scars', not at the dealer for 'spa' treatment...

They would go through the videocams to try find what has happend. Luckily they agreed that the car did not have this scratch when delivered to them and actually seem to appreciate that I discovered it now and not later. That would've made it far worse...

They would have the car to their paint specialist to either do some polish-grind magic or repaint. I can clearly feel the top coating has been scratched through. Imo grinding and polishing will only be temporarily fix, as it will wear or fade faster than the clear coat?

Its only a car, but I must say that this just adds to my belief that some times you will get your car in worse conditon after having been at the workshop. Happend with my Ford and now this one.

No wonder I'm paranoid leaving my car at the dealers.. (probably they had a test drive as well, pushing a cold engine to the red limit...)
