Great photos, we did Dumfries and Galloway, over to Arran and then Kintyre this year. Love it up there, helps when the sun is out!
Lovely isnt it! I dont need an excuse to head up there

I think I just found my new favourite thread! Being half-Scottish I may be slightly biased but those are some stunning photos & locations![]()
We get very little rain throughout the whole year now up here on the east coast. Thanks
Scotland can be very underrated (folk think it rains 90% of the time up there), we found and still do find it constantly amazes us! I'd move there given half the chance.

Virtually totally dry and sunny from April to September seems to be the norm for Scotland now.
We’ve stopped going abroad for sunny holidays now.
We get loads of sun here now and I think Scotland is the most beautiful country on the planet.
Great write up of your trip and stunning photos.
We go next week to the Outer Hebrides, I hope I can mimic what you have done here![]()
We stayed at this site when we hired a van before buying in. Really nice site, we had a great time there, the kids went in the sea and I went in the pub, everyone happy!....but when we arrived in Port a Bhaigh, what an absolutely stunning village, especially when we found out we had a sea view pitch!
Again, not an overly large campsite, facilities spot on with a well stocked shop and pub at the top of the drive. Port a Bhaigh Campsite in the beautiful Scottish Highlands
The views over The Summer Isles out to Lewis and Harris were amazing, we loved it!

For sure.It's an age thing!

Thank you for this post (and those that followed up).
I am in the planning stages - the bit I really like and it's probably changed 50 times.
Leeds > Arran > Oban > Loop back to Hadrian's Wall > Home.
Everything I like. Mountains, coast, old ruins.....
