Just fitted a pair of Rusty Lee swivels. I'd read a number of posts on here about various makes of swivel being wobbly/creaking, including the Rusty Lee. I thought it worth posting that mine seem absolutely fine. The hardest part of the install was accessing the front seat bolts. You have to peel back the plastic side trim, which means wrestling with a couple of trim fittings, which weren't intuitive (to me). Basically they sort of screw out, but only with a bit of pressure. They push back in. First seat took an hour, the second about 15 minutes. That's learning for you.
The swivels themselves are rock solid and actually quite hard to turn, which I guess is a good thing because it means the bearings are nice and tight (not wobbly). The increase in height is hardly noticeable.
Also fitted the handbrake kit which was pretty easy too. Not sure whether I've got the wire adjusted exactly right but the handbrake seems to work which is what matters.
Another job done. FortyWinks bed fitted yesterday too. Also easy, barring a few sticky screws on one hinge. Once the mattress arrives I'll be off to kip on it.
Am considering the relative costs and merits of a Slideaway tray. I can see massive advantages (not grubbing about underneath for a box right at the back) but wondered about rattling when empty? The website mentions this (as in, live with it, it's nothing too bad). Anyone experienced this, and is it a pain?
Cheers all.
